1. Agreement
By using www.edutourchina.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. These terms apply to the website and to the free guidance we provide through it.
2. What EduTourChina is — and is not
We are an independent guidance service that helps international students plan study in China. We are not a Chinese government agency, a university admissions office, a scholarship awarding body, or a licensed immigration adviser in any jurisdiction.
We cannot issue an admission letter, decide or influence a scholarship outcome, or guarantee a visa. Where a page describes requirements or a process, it describes how the system generally works — the decision always rests with the institution or authority concerned.
3. No guarantee of admission, funding or visa outcome
Nothing on this site is an offer of admission, an offer of funding, or a promise of any particular result. Universities change requirements, quotas and deadlines without notice. Meeting a published minimum does not make an application competitive, and we say so throughout the site.
4. Accuracy and currency of information
Tuition bands, stipend rates, living costs, document lists and visa rules change every year and differ between institutions inside the same city. Everything here is presented as an indicative range. Always confirm the current figure or rule with the university, the awarding body or the exit-entry authority before you commit money, resign a job or book travel.
We correct errors when we find them. If you spot one, tell us and we will fix the page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape the site at a rate that degrades service, attempt to access systems you are not authorised to access, submit false information through the enquiry form, or use the site for anything unlawful. Automated bulk copying of the university and cost data is not permitted without written consent.
6. Intellectual property
The text, structure, tables and design of this site are ours. University names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively to identify institutions. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page; you may not republish whole pages or the compiled datasets.
7. Information you send us
You confirm that the details you submit are accurate and that you are entitled to share them. We use them as described in the privacy policy. Do not send passport scans, bank details or medical records through the contact form.
8. Third-party links and advertising
The site links to universities, government portals and other resources we do not control, and it may display advertising served by third parties. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of those destinations. Advertising is labelled as advertising and is kept separate from our editorial content; the presence of an ad is not an endorsement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content — including missed deadlines, lost application fees, travel costs or a declined visa. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service concerned, which for the guidance on this site is nil.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal information, including advertising cookies and how to refuse them, is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, and the courts of Shanghai have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
