We cover one university here — Southern University of Science and Technology — and that scarcity is the point. Shenzhen is not a university town. It is an industrial and engineering city that built a research university recently, funded it heavily, and staffed it with overseas-trained faculty. Class sizes are small, undergraduates get into laboratories early, and a high proportion of teaching is in English.
If your plan is to study engineering and then work in China, Shenzhen offers something no other city does: the companies that would hire you are a metro ride away. Huawei, Tencent, DJI, BYD and the entire hardware supply chain that supports them are here. If your plan is a broad choice of programmes and a traditional campus, this is the wrong city and the profile pages will make that obvious.
